Description

The Granada Crystallization Facility^® (GCF) is a crystallization device that makes possible to carry out crystallization experiments in space.

It has been designed to allocate the Granada crystallization Boxes, and is basically a container capable of withstanding the launch and re-entry, and that meets the safety requirements of the ISS (International Space Station).

The performance of the GCF in several space missions was flawless, demonstrating the possibility to use this simple and inexpensive device to perform crystallization experiments under micro-gravity conditions.

It can contain up to 138 crystallization protein experiments carried out in Granada Crystallization Boxes (GCB).
